Sunday, November 4th, was certainly a night to remember for those who were at Laugardalshöll in Iceland. Sigur Rós debuted one of their newest songs, "Brennisteinn", or "Sulfur" directly translated to English. There really could not have been a better way to conclude an already amazing festival than by having one of the most emotion-filled and wholesome bands in the world perform at the Icelandic international stadium, Laugardalshöll.
Their performance was praised by both Icelandic media and The Rolling Stone magazine and received five out of five possible stars. It's safe to say that Iceland Airwaves 2012 was most certainly a successful festival. Though one could relay that Sigur Rós headlined and, in layman's terms, owned the festival, other bands such as Of Monsters and Men, Dikta, Sólstafir, The Vaccines, Phantogram, and Agent Fresco are definitely worth of a special mention.
