Since it was first revealed as an Xbox One exclusive Ryse has been catching a lot of flak for a variety of things. The game play demo at E3 has had people calling it a QTE fest, as if somehow that's all there's to it , which continues even now, when more game play closer to the final build has been shown. Comments sections across video game sites have been ablaze with scrutiny of the supposed low resolution the game runs in, while it looks pretty darn good to us. We get the feeling most of the criticism is coming from dedicated PlayStation fans that are simply stoning the competition. So much overwhelming negative feedback for a new IP that very few people have actually played doesn't make sense.
While it might not be the system seller that Microsoft needs against Sony, we think that Ryse will tip the scales for some gamers. We'll see come launch day, but for now we're gonna sit back and watch the latest trailer and anticipate the arrival of the next-gen systems.
